Forgive as the Lord forgave you.<sup>&nbsp;14&nbsp;<\/sup>And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kmoknysna\">Knysna Methodist Outreach Association (KMO)<\/a><\/strong> is a non-profit organisation founded in 2013 in close partnership with the <strong>Knysna Methodist Church<\/strong>, a congregation deeply committed to uplifting the underprivileged in the greater Knysna community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KMO was established with a clear and compassionate mission:<br><strong>To provide community service through the creation and support of community-based initiatives in the fields of education and livelihoods enhancement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Driven by this vision, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kmoknysna\">KMO<\/a> supports a wide range of impactful programmes, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Soup kitchens<\/strong> providing nutritious meals to the most vulnerable.<br><strong>Early childhood education and nurturing<\/strong> through support for preschools.<br><strong>Financial assistance to local charitable organisations<\/strong>, amplifying the reach and effectiveness of grassroots efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through these initiatives, KMO seeks to build a stronger, more equitable community\u2014empowering individuals and offering hope where it&#8217;s needed most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rainbow of Hope Early Learning Centre \u2013 Building Bright Futures<\/strong><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"231\" height=\"135\" src=\"https:\/\/knysnamethodist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Screenshot-2025-04-12-213337.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-566\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<strong>Rainbow of Hope Early Learning Centre<\/strong>&nbsp;is the&nbsp;<strong>flagship outreach project<\/strong>&nbsp;of Knysna Methodist Outreach, located in the heart of the underprivileged Nekkies community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This vibrant and nurturing space is a fully registered Grade R class with the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) since 2014.&nbsp; It currently &nbsp;accommodates&nbsp;<strong>33 learners<\/strong>, aged&nbsp;<strong>five to seven<\/strong>, all from&nbsp;families in need. The teacher, Nomfu Loyilani, is a qualified Grade R teacher with a B.Ed. Foundation Phase degree, offering a&nbsp;<strong>structured, pre-primary education<\/strong>&nbsp;in a safe and caring environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A&nbsp;<strong>nutritious breakfast<\/strong>&nbsp;of E-pap and a&nbsp;<strong>cooked lunch<\/strong>&nbsp;ensure the learners are well-nourished and ready to play and learn every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The centre also offers&nbsp;<strong>full aftercare<\/strong>, which provides additional support to both children and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The financial support for Rainbow of Hope is made possible<strong>&nbsp;through the generosity<\/strong>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<strong>Knysna Methodist Church tithing<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>reliable donors<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;a 6 monthly subsidy by the WCED. A dedicated team of volunteers manage the day to day running of the school. This powerful partnership between <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kmoknysna\">Knysna Methodist Outreach<\/a> NPO, Knysna Rotary,<\/strong> and <strong>Growing Upwards NPO<\/strong> has transformed a 240m\u00b2 plot into an organic food garden that nourishes both body and spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The garden supports the on-site <strong>Methodist soup kitchen<\/strong>, which operates three days a week and feeds over <strong>1,500 people every month<\/strong>\u2014including preschoolers and vulnerable parishioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But Seed of Hope goes beyond food relief. It also serves as a <strong>training hub for the Growing Upwards Gardening and Entrepreneurial Skills course<\/strong>, empowering<strong> community members<\/strong> with the knowledge and tools to grow their own food and create sustainable livelihoods. For over <strong>20 years<\/strong>, the church has been actively involved in supporting and managing feeding programmes across the greater Knysna community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What began as a humble effort to serve the poor has grown into a <strong>comprehensive feeding initiative<\/strong> under the umbrella of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kmoknysna\">Knysna Methodist Outreach <\/a>(KMO)<\/strong>.
